My Little Sister Callie is a story-driven visual novel where choices shape a tense family drama set against a divided city. You play as a brother thrust into a moral struggle after discovering Callie, a girl you’d once helped in a refugee camp, is your long-lost sibling. The game blends dialogue decisions with resource management as you navigate poverty, bureaucracy, and danger to protect her. Relationships and trust are central, every interaction carries weight, and outcomes shift based on how you balance compassion with practicality. The game’s raw emotional core and gritty setting stand out, with a narrative that leans into real-world issues without shying from their complexity. While it lacks combat or puzzles, its strength lies in dialogue and consequence, pushing players to weigh ethics against survival. With a release date of September 2024, it’s positioned as a character-focused title aiming to challenge players’ perspectives on displacement and family. Ryclaw Games’ approach feels deliberate, prioritizing atmosphere and moral ambiguity over spectacle.
You grew up next to The Wall, an imposing concrete edifice that separated the city from the Displacement Zone, a lawless refugee camp full of displaced people. Your father ran a free clinic in the DZ until his passing five years ago, but your life in the city was largely removed from the desperate plight of the people on the other side of The Wall. All that changes when you meet Callie, a hungry little girl who has escaped from the Displacement Zone. After Callie is returned to the dangerous Displacement Zone you make up your mind to help her any way you can. When you find out that Callie is your little sister, how far will you go to bring her home?
