You play as Dr. John, an archaeologist running through temple maze levels to smash stone blocks. Each cracked stone reveals artifacts to collect while avoiding patrolling guards who shoot or toss spears. The challenge grows as temples add moving platforms, bottomless pits, and tighter corridors. Your goal is to break as many stones as possible before getting squashed or stabbed. It plays like a side-scrolling action puzzle with fast twitch gameplay. Released on New Year's Eve 1984, the game was known as Dr. Kick's Adventure in Japan. Technos Japan’s earliest title features simple but reactive physics - stones bounce when kicked, creating chain breaks if aimed right. Despite the era’s typical 8-bit visuals, the game’s frantic pace and artifact-hunting loop kept it in arcades for years. Players who like quick decision making over complex stories might still find it addictive.
