N-Sub casts you as a submarine commander battling waves of enemy ships in a top-down ocean clash. Guide your sub with a joystick, firing torpedoes left or right using dedicated buttons. Rapidly press and hold to launch three in quick succession while dodging missiles, depth charges, and torpedo barrages. Each round pits you against a fleet of twelve ships plus a destroyer, with their attacks growing deadlier as you progress. Sink entire fleets for bonus points and earn extra lives by hitting high scores. The game ends when all your subs are destroyed, but the challenge escalates fast. Released in 1980 for arcade and SG-1000, this early naval shooter runs on Compile’s classic arcade framework. Its tight controls and escalating difficulty made it a staple in Japanese arcades during the early 80s.
