Nakwon: Last Paradise puts you in urban South Korea for a multiplayer survival experience where day and night change everything. You spend daylight hours managing resources and defenses at the Yeouido shelter while night falls brings dangerous zombies and hostile survivors to your doorstep. The game mixes shooter mechanics with RPG elements as you scavenge the city streets, craft gear, and make tough calls about who to trust or fight. Everyone is on their own until they meet up for co-op missions against overwhelming odds. The setting feels grounded in a collapsing Seoul where the social order has completely fallen apart after a meteor shower triggered the outbreak. Community players often mention the tension of balancing base management with high stakes raids into infected zones. It does not rely on flashy features to make its point, just the constant pressure of surviving in a city crawling with threats. The co-op mode encourages coordination since going solo usually ends quickly in this harsh environment.
The night an asteroid passed near Earth, a meteor shower lit up the sky. At that very moment, a massive blackout plunged cities into darkness. Soon after, people across the globe started to show strange symptoms. The infected lost their minds, lashing out and biting anyone they encountered. Infection rates soared, quickly surpassing the point of control. Governments declared official lockdowns and set up barricades in key districts. But Seoul's dense population made containment impossible; the damage from infection escalated exponentially. Most nations abandoned and quarantined their capitals and major cities. Survivor bases, including the one in Yeouido, began to emerge. With various groups seizing control, civil unrest escalated into full-scale riots, looting, and crime. The social, political, and economic infrastructure quickly fell apart. After the official declaration of the vaccine's failure and the end of its development, the world plunged into a full-scale zombie apocalypse - beginning in the world's most densely populated cities: New York, London, Paris, Tokyo… and Seoul. Only a few survivor bases still remain, as Yeouido stands as the largest safehaven in Seoul. Beyond its walls, scattered groups fight to survive, scraping by day to day in the ruins.
