Two players battle to protect a buried treasure from a shark and giant octopus in this 1983 Atari 2600 shooter. One player guards the loot while dodging attacks from below, firing at the shark and shaking off octopus tentacles. Oxygen depletes over time forcing periodic sprints to a floating line dropped by the second player, who switches to defense duty. The split screen format lets both players swap roles mid-fight as they struggle to keep the treasure from slipping away. Simple mechanics mask tight pacing as players juggle offense, defense, and resource management in a single-screen chaos. The two-player co-op design was rare for 1983 arcade ports, creating a frantic see-saw of responsibilities. Despite primitive graphics, the shark’s relentless pursuit and octopus’s unpredictable probes keep tension high. A relic of early co-op gameplay that still tests reflexes and communication.
