Nanostray is a fast-paced shooter for the Nintendo DS where you pilot a futuristic ship through waves of enemies. The action scrolls vertically as you use the touch screen to navigate and fire, with the top screen showing the battlefield. Your goal is to survive as long as possible, dodging projectiles and upgrading your ship's firepower between levels. The game’s difficulty ramps up quickly, testing your reflexes and strategic thinking. A sequel, Nanostray 2, came out three years later, expanding on the formula. While not a household name, it has a cult following for its relentless pace and retro-inspired design.
