You and a friend take on Max Force in this 1988 arcade shooter, racing through eight stages of Mr. Big's criminal lair. Each level drops you into environments like junkyards, subway tunnels, and neon-lit streets, where you collect safe cards to unlock exits. Fight enemies with guns and rocket bombs as you navigate grid-based maps, tracking down hidden objectives while avoiding traps. The stages escalate from drug labs to the corporate HQ itself, with co-op play letting you split-screen through the chaos. What sticks is the tight, methodical pacing of each level. Unlike many run-and-gun action games, Narc slows you down to puzzle out paths and conserve resources. The mix of arcade reflexes and strategy feels fresh even decades later. Though it only hit arcades and early PCs, its two-player mode and varied settings made it a cult hit among retro fans. The lack of modern ports keeps it a niche pick, but the core loop of exploration and combat still holds up.
NO ONE HAD THE GUTS...UNTIL NOW" You are Max Force... your mission: bust Mr. Big and destroy the dreaded criminal empire... seize all contraband, stolen money, illegal weapons... use rocketbombs, high-powered machine guns... apprehend all suspects... protect the innocent and punish the guilty... stop at nothing!
