Naruto: Ninja Council 2 is a follow up to the first Game Boy Advance title in the series. It keeps the platform fighter formula where you control characters like Naruto Sasuke and Sakura to punch kick and combo through scrolling stages. The controls feel tighter than the original with more fluid movement and added special attacks. Each character has distinct moves that match their traits letting you switch between fighting styles mid battle. The single player mode has a decent story campaign with enough variety to keep things fresh for a GBA title. The game shines with its multiplayer options. Use a link cable to play co op with a friend or jump into four player battles. The stages are noticeably larger and more detailed compared to the first game with better visual effects. Released in 2004 it holds up as one of the stronger GBA beat em ups for fans looking to revisit the early days of the franchise. The improved pacing and expanded roster make it worth a look even if the core mechanics remain familiar.
