NBA Action is a basketball simulation for Sega Saturn that focuses on court action and team management. You control players in real time using button combos for dribbles, passes and shots. The single player mode lets you run exhibition games or build a season-long campaign. Local multiplayer adds head to head competition with friends. The game features licensed teams and rosters from the 95-96 season. The title impressed some players with its fast pace and responsive controls for the time. Commentary during games adds to the sports atmosphere. While not as detailed as later NBA titles it holds up as a solid early 90s hoops game.
