You play as a necromancer resurrected to reclaim a kingdom stolen by a traitorous tyrant. In this turn-based strategy RPG, you command a growing army of animated corpses, skeletons, and other undead to conquer villages, scavenge resources, and weaken the usurper’s hold. Battles unfold on grid-based maps where positioning and elemental weaknesses matter as much as raw numbers. Upgrade your forces with dark magic, balance resource gathering against expansion, and plan assaults on fortified strongholds. The core loop mixes base-building with tactical combat, letting you adapt strategies as new units and abilities unlock. What sticks is the blend of personal vengeance and bleak humor. The story leans into its absurdity, framing the protagonist’s return as both a strategic and moral crusade against a ruler who “denounced peace as evil.” Community feedback highlights the depth of unit customization and the satisfaction of outmaneuvering overpowered foes through creative tactics. Storyline

The hubris of the man who killed you and stole your kingdom is incredible. He thinks himself a legendary warrior, when his only real skill is rousing an armed band of traitorous scum. Calling your great works abominations, he stormed your castle with his soldiers and priests. You had been living in peace for many years, and were only maintaining a small force of undead to protect you. It wasn't enough. They breached the walls and barged into your throne room, denouncing you as "evil" for being different. Is ruling a kingdom in peace and prosperity with a well-fed populace and strong economy "evil"? Is it not more evil to kill the rightful ruler to impose your version of morality? Your dead body, tossed into a fetid swamp, was left to rot. Little did they know that you had your soul hidden away in a powerful artifact, waiting to take control of some unsuspecting traveler... Necromaster is an turn-based tactical RPG where you animate a horde of undead minions to help you reclaim your kingdom from a powerful usurper. Master the dark arts and raid towns and villages to build your power and raise an army. Storm the castle and reclaim your throne, or die (again) trying.
