Nemesis 2 is a side-scrolling shooter where you control James Burton as he battles Dr. Venom’s biomechanical hordes across seven alien worlds. The gameplay leans into rapid fire, dodging waves of enemies in tight corridors and open space stages. Up to two players can team up to blast through increasingly chaotic levels filled with mutating hazards and boss fights. Weapons upgrade mid-level but run out quickly, forcing you to balance aggression with resource management. The game built on the formula of Konami’s earlier shooters but added tighter co-op mechanics and more varied hazards. Though its pixelated graphics feel dated, the pacing and design still hold up for retro fans. It sits on the lower end of the 1980s arcade-to-home port spectrum but remains a solid, if unspectacular, example of the genre.
