In Neutron Star you steer a spaceship tasked with salvaging chunks of exploding planets before they smash satellites. Your goal is to guide each boulder to a neutron star’s edge by maneuvering without getting pulled into its deadly gravity well. You collect debris by hooking it to your ship then balancing momentum as you navigate toward the star. Letting the boulder go at the right moment sends it spiraling into the star. You can also fire rockets when empty to destroy fragments but timing and precision matter more than firepower. This 1983 Philips title is a single-player arcade challenge built around tight physics and reflexes. It ran on Odyssey 2 and Videopac systems back when platform limitations required clever design. The neutron star’s persistent pull creates tension through every move, making momentum a key mechanic. While not a modern classic, its straightforward yet tricky gameplay holds up as a relic of early 80s arcade design. The lack of online data means judging its modern appeal is tough but retro fans might find it a curious artifact.
