Nigate Tale is a single-player RPG with roguelike elements where you navigate a shifting, maze-like castle filled with enemies and traps. You play as Roy, an engineer who crashlands into a magical fortress inhabited by monster girls. Each death sends you back to the start but the castle layout changes forcing you to adapt. You collect parts to uncover the fortress’s ancient mystery while battling through procedurally generated levels. The monster girls offer help if you bring them specific items adding a layer of resource management. The game stands out with its vibrant anime-inspired visuals and the blend of exploration and combat. The procedural generation ensures varied experiences each run and the time loop mechanic adds stakes. Though new the mix of dungeon crawling and story-driven quests has drawn early praise for its engaging loop. Available on PC it releases September 24 2024 with a focus on replayability and tactical progression.

Storyline

In Nigate Tale you play Roy, a young engineer who is dragged to a world of fantasy after passing through a strange cloud with his airplane. After crashing into the sewers of a castle, he discovers the place is inhabited by magical creatures he'd never seen before. Fortunately, some of the monster girls dwelling in the fortress are willing to help him! Explore this ever-changing castle to find all the missing parts and piece together the secret story of this place, unveiling the thousands-year-old mystery that trapped it out of time and space. Your mission won’t be easy: you’ll have to fight your way out of the labyrinthic corners of this castle full of monsters, traps, and all kinds of hazards. Every time you die, you will reappear in the same place, as in stuck in a neverending time loop… but the castle will have changed its layout, forcing you to begin your path anew!
