Night Trap casts you as a secret agent tasked with rescuing five girls from a mansion haunted by vampires. Instead of direct combat you use timed traps cameras and remote-controlled devices to sabotage enemies and guide survivors to safety. The gameplay loops on precise sequencing, luring creatures into kill zones while managing limited resources and avoiding detection. Each level unfolds across fixed camera angles that force you to adapt strategies as the night progresses. The game’s 90s-era tech feels primitive by today’s standards but its blend of horror and puzzle-solving earned it a cult following. While criticized for its controversial premise and simplistic mechanics it remains a landmark example of early interactive storytelling. Its Sega CD version added FMV sequences that divided players but cemented its place in gaming history.
