You’re trapped in a shifting dream world where every door leads to another twisted environment. As you dart between rooms, you’ll dodge faceless pursuers and figure out the fragmented logic of this place. Exploration is key, some doors hide shortcuts, others trap you in loops. The challenge is to find an exit before the shadows catch up. Sparse dialogue and eerie sound design keep tension high without overexplaining. Made by a two-person team, Nightmare Zone leans into its minimalist roots. Released in 2021, it’s a short but tightly paced experience that uses simplicity to its advantage. The lack of combat or complex mechanics forces you to focus on movement and timing. While not graphically ambitious, the claustrophobic spaces and sudden scares leave a mark. It’s a brief run but one that lingers.
The dream world is like a big room, with doors on each sides: every door is a portal for a dream. Run Away from your Nightmares, explore all the areas of the dream world and find other doors to escape. You can escape only if you can find all the doors. Can you wake up? Something is looking for you. Nightmare Zone is made by two people
