Nightwatch is a point-and-click adventure where you play Vicks, a bumbling security guard at a hospital. His mission is to track down a stolen chicken corpse and free a friend trapped in a cave. The game mixes inventory-based puzzles with absurd dialogue and a deliberately chaotic setting. Every interaction feels like a stumble through a broken script, with characters that talk in riddles and tasks that escalate into nonsense. Developed by Ross Norton as part of a series of experimental projects, Nightwatch leans into its offbeat charm. The plot embraces randomness over logic, and the puzzles often rely on trial-and-error over clarity. While it lacks polish, it has a cult following for its commitment to chaos. Players who enjoy irreverent humor and don’t mind getting lost in the weirdness might find it oddly satisfying. The 2001 release shows its age but remains a curious relic of early indie experimentation.
Nightwatch features Vicks, the inept security guard from the RON hospital. The corpse of the chicken's brother has gone missing, and Vicks goes out to recover it. He'll also have to rescue Davy, who has been imprisoned in the dark recesses of a cave.
