The story sees Kato in the final phase of his training which means dodging obstacles timing jumps and slicing through enemies with precise strikes. The game leans heavily into platforming challenges mixing physics based puzzles with straightforward combat sections. It’s a straightforward but tight experience that keeps things moving at a brisk pace. What sets Ninja Kato 4 apart is the smooth controls and escalating difficulty. The game doesn’t overcomplicate things sticking to a core loop of combat and platforming that works well. Kibodo Games delivers a concise single player campaign that’s easy to pick up but harder to master. Releases for PC in July 2024.
