Ninja Warriors is a side-scrolling brawler where you control one of three cybernetic fighters, Ninja, Kunoichi, or Kamaitachi. Each character shares basic moves like punches, jumps, and grabs but plays distinctively. The screen-wide special attack is a core mechanic, charging over time and resetting if you get knocked down. Combat feels fast and punchy, with enemies packing enough aggression to keep you moving. The story centers on dismantling a brainwashed military regime, though the real draw is the tight local action. This 1994 SNES exclusive from Natsume and Taito leans into arcade-style simplicity. The single-player focus means no distractions, just beat down hordes of grunts in a 16-bit world. While the graphics haven’t aged perfectly, the responsive controls and varied enemy types keep it engaging for nostalgic players. The three playable characters offer enough replay value to justify a second run, even if the levels start repeating. A straightforward brawler with no frills, it’s best for those who miss the pre-3D era of fighting games.
