"Even more than Monopoly, The Game of Life is a board game from a bygone era. Once upon a time, the nice, meandering journey through suburban life and expectations thereof that the game depicted was considered a representation of a happy, wholesome life experience, but in 2021 lionising that seems incredibly passe. Sticking a "2" next to the title while not doing much to address this dissonance doesn't paper over the fact that very few people actually want to play The Game of Life these days."

About

Nirvana Game of Life casts you as a soul reborn across countless bodies in a never-ending loop of lives. Each round you manage core stats like money health popularity and happiness using simple swipe choices to navigate jobs relationships and moral dilemmas. Every decision risks sudden death from accidents addictions or bad luck but failure just resets the cycle with a new body. Over 200 distinct life events and branching paths keep each reincarnation unpredictable as you chase the elusive goal of escaping the loop. Players report averaging 50 hours per run with many logging over 100 hours trying different strategies. The tension of balancing needs against time pressure creates addictive replayability. A shadowy character offering shortcuts adds moral complexity while thousands of randomized scenarios ensure no two lives feel the same. With over 3 million downloads since launch it stands out for its depth in a genre often dominated by simplicity.
