Noah's Ark is a 1995 sci-fi point-and-click adventure developed by NEC. Set in 2100, it follows a team investigating a mysterious seven-story tower that erupts from Mars' surface. Players navigate environments through inventory-based puzzles and dialogue choices, uncovering clues about the structure's ancient origins and the civilization that built it. The game blends resource management with exploration, as environmental hazards and logic-based challenges test the team's survival. The game's story hinges on a twist: the tower predates Earth's earliest life, raising existential questions about humanity's place in the cosmos. While its 90s-era visuals and occasionally clunky interface show age, the narrative's scope and the eerie scale of the tower's purpose have earned it cult status among retro adventure fans. A small but vocal community praises its ambitious themes and the way its puzzles tie directly to the mystery of cosmic legacy.
In 2100, mankind is facing the threat of environmental destruction and population explosion. Because of these threats, mankind is proceeding with the terraforming of Mars in preparation for migration. However, just before the plant base is completed, a huge tower suddenly appears from the ground. Investigation reveals that it was built about 5 billion years ago and has seven floors inside. An investigation team (the player) was sent to infiltrate the tower and to discover the mystery on why and who left this tower behind and for what purpose.
