Charlie Fotheringham-Grunes is on a lunar mission to dismantle a mysterious monolith emitting odd signals. This side-scrolling platformer tasks you with navigating moon caverns, collecting eight keys, and fending off enemies as you approach the target. Movement is straightforward, jumping and dodging hazards, but the mole device adds a twist. Pressing up lets you control the mole to strike foes, though some enemies are immune. A burrowing tool helps break through walls, while red spacemen lurk to steal your hard-earned keys. The game’s quirks set it apart. The mole mechanic demands precise timing, and losing keys forces restarts, ramping up the challenge. Retro fans appreciate its tight design and resource management, though its difficulty curve can feel punishing. Released in 1985, it’s a relic of early platforming experimentation. While not widely celebrated today, it remains a niche curiosity for those digging into old-school arcade adventures.
