Obliteracers is a chaotic multiplayer racer where you control adorable yet aggressive aliens. Up to 16 players can join in on the same screen, battling to be the last one standing. Each race features weapon pickups and vehicles that react to physics, letting you smash through obstacles and opponents. Matches are played in rounds with stragglers eliminated until one alien wins. The game supports split screen and works with a mix of controllers, laptops, and mobile devices. It launched in 2016 and still holds a 4.7/5 on Metacritic and 89% on Steam. The PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One versions all include single-player modes plus local and online multiplayer. What stands out is the accessibility, any number of players can jump in with whatever hardware is handy. The alien designs and destructible environments keep matches unpredictable. No two races feel the same thanks to randomized powerup drops and terrain.
