About

Occult Case Files: Case One is a point-and-click puzzle game inspired by 80s-style adventure titles. You play as one half of a duo of amateur paranormal investigators tracking a local legend about a spot where people supposedly vanish. The gameplay loops on environmental puzzles, item collection, and dialogue choices that slowly figure out the mystery. Set in a deliberately pixelated world, it leans into retro aesthetics without mimicking modern mechanics. The demo clocks in at around two hours, with a tight narrative that feels complete but leaves room for expansion. Player feedback highlights the game’s clever use of classic point-and-click tropes, with many praising its atmospheric tension and satisfyingly tricky puzzles. Early reviews on Steam average 82%, noting it as a strong throwback for fans of the genre. Developer Teebowah Games previously made After the Third Shift, a well-received point-and-click horror game, so they know their way around spooky scenarios and inventory-based problem solving. The demo’s short length means it’s low-risk for nostalgia hunters curious about old-school adventure games.

Storyline

My friend and I are amateur occult investigators. We've been to many of these supposed paranormal spots over the years and planned on checking out this spot that makes people vanish. But something went wrong...
