Occulto is a hand-drawn point-and-click adventure game developed by Luigi Cinelli and published by Sirio Art Games. Set in a fantasy world, it tasks you with guiding Eliot, a magic apprentice, through riddles, traps, and mysterious landscapes to locate his vanished teacher. The game emphasizes non-verbal storytelling and artistic visuals, with every scene carefully crafted. Originally slated for late 2024 or early 2025, its release was pushed to March 31, 2026, as the developers prioritized polish. Designed for PC and Linux, it’s a single-player experience focused on exploration and puzzle-solving, blending eerie atmospheres with whimsical creature encounters.
You control Eliot with point-and-click mechanics, interacting with objects, environments, and creatures to figure out puzzles. Each level is a hand-drawn scene filled with hidden clues, requiring observation and lateral thinking to progress. The non-verbal design means dialogue is absent, relying instead on visual cues and environmental storytelling. Puzzles range from object manipulation to pattern recognition, often involving magical traps or enchanted items. The game’s rhythm is slow, emphasizing atmosphere over action. You’ll backtrack through evolving locations, piecing together the mystery of Eliot’s missing mentor while evading an ominous presence hunting a powerful book.
With a release in early 2026, community data is still emerging. Early Steam reviews (once available) are expected to highlight the game’s artistic ambition, though some may critique pacing. The developers’ first-time status and delayed timeline have sparked mixed reactions, with fans praising dedication to quality. Pre-launch hype suggests a niche audience drawn to its art style and non-verbal approach. Playtime estimates range from 6-8 hours based on puzzle density. No achievement data exists yet, but the game’s hand-drawn puzzles could appeal to casual and hardcore players alike.
Occulto is worth playing for fans of atmospheric, art-driven adventures. Its hand-drawn visuals and non-verbal design offer a meditative, puzzle-focused experience, though the slow pace may not suit everyone. As a first-time indie project, it’s a bold but uneven experiment. If released at a reasonable price, it could attract players seeking a quiet, visually rich journey. Expect minor bugs and inconsistent difficulty, but the game’s charm and creativity make it a memorable entry in the point-and-click genre.
Occulto is an indie adventure game with a focus on artistic hand-drawn visuals and a non verbal game play. It is being developed by two fans of the genre. This is our very first game and we want to create an artistic adventure game, with challenging riddles, hand drawn scenes, animations and original soundtracks. The whole game is under development, and its release will be approximately on the end of 2024 or the first months of 2025. Please be patient, this is a truly indie game! :) You will guide Eliot, a young apprentice of magic, through riddles, mysteries, traps and help him find his teacher who has mysteriously disappeared. An evil Presence is looking for a powerful book which is in the possession of the teacher.
