Ocean Runner is a high-speed underwater chase where you steer a pod through shifting coral mazes. Tap the circle pad to dodge obstacles and fling weapons at enemies while collecting power-ups to boost your speed. Each level throws new hazards at you from all angles forcing quick reflexes and split-second decisions. The 3DS controls feel tight and responsive even at top velocity. The game’s neon-drenched visuals pop on the 3DS screen with bright schools of fish and glowing wreckage. While the core loop is pure endless runner action the occasional puzzle elements like timing shots to clear debris add welcome variety. Released in 2015 it still holds up as a solid pick for quick bursts of frantic fun.
