Of Light & Shadow is a puzzle platformer where you alternate between two characters with strict environmental limits. Mr. Light can only move through bright areas while Dr. Shadow is confined to dark spaces. Each level splits into these opposing zones forcing you to swap control constantly to progress. Simple platforming turns complex as you solve physics puzzles requiring precise timing and dual perspective thinking. The minimalist art style keeps focus on clever level design. This 2012 student project from Salzburg University won praise for its original concept. Though short at around four hours the game packs inventive challenges that test spatial reasoning. Storyline

Master the Lights! Of Light & Shadow is a puzzle-platformer with a “light” twist, combining two areas in each level, light, and shadow, as well as two protagonists in one playable character, Dr. Shadow and Mr. Light. While either of them can only survive in either light or shadow areas, the player must constantly switch between them and make the right decision about whose abilities to utilize.
