About

Okubi drops you into a chaotic multiplayer arena where you control a corrupted creature fighting for survival. You move between ground and air combat while hunting down life sources to absorb. These pickups fuel your upgrade system so you can forge new gear or unlock stronger abilities. Matches last about twenty minutes and pit your team against another squad in a constant struggle for resources and dominance. The core loop involves grinding for power quickly, though some players find the repetitive collection of materials feels more like a chore than fun. Community reception has been rough with a 3.0 out of 10 rating based on 184 hours of playtime from one reviewer. That user called the experience a disaster in practice despite the cool premise of corrupting creatures and fighting empires. The game features co-op multiplayer modes but the execution of its grind-heavy systems seems to frustrate people who want more action. It remains an indie title that tries to mix MOBA elements with hack and slash combat, yet the harsh difficulty curve might turn players off before they get used to the controls.

Okubi sounds cool on paper but IS A DISASTER IN PRACTICE. I get the grindy upgrade system but come ON—absorbing life sources feels like doing chores for a broken toaster. Battlegrounds are supposed to be fast-paced? More like LAGGY AND CHOPPY, like my phone during a Zoom call. I ...
