Olden War casts you as leader of the Blue Wolves, a clan vying for dominance in a fractured land. Command 11 unit types to conquer resource-rich territories while fending off rival clans and native settlers. Build and upgrade bases to train armies, group up to six units for automated battles, and navigate five terrain types that influence movement and strategy. The single-player campaign unfolds across five maps with a fixed story, plus random maps for replayability. Each base serves as a hub for production and defense, balancing expansion with survival in a world where alliances are fleeting and conflict is inevitable. Launched in 2005 for legacy mobile devices, the game leans into classic TBS mechanics with a focus on resource management and tactical positioning. Its blend of structured campaigns and randomized maps offers a mix of directed narrative and emergent challenges. While not a modern title, its streamlined systems and clan-driven conflict provide a straightforward strategy experience that still holds up for fans of older-school tactics.

Storyline

In ancient times, when all conflicts were solved by the sword and strange creatures dwelled in deep forests, none could be sure with his life. Many people have died without even knowing where the death blow came from. At that time simple folk had nothing left, but to create small alliances - fellowships - that struggled for survival. Centuries have passed in which they have succeeded to secure the lands and expand their territory, for their numbers have risen as well. During that time, two clans have gained the upper hand: the clan of Red devils and the clan of Blue wolves. Though they had disputes, the decision has been made to put them aside so the land would not once again become the chaotic realm of beasts. However, as the expansion progressed and more of the land was available, the will to share started to weaken. Soon the Red devils tasted the bitter wrath of their barbaric brothers. The burning villages and tortured bodies are a sight too horrible bear in peace. A war came knocking on your door. And you will let her in!
