Omega Zone is a 1990 ZX Spectrum shooter where you pilot a Skimmer through chaotic 3D levels. You fire at enemy ships while dodging plasma pillars that litter the terrain. The perspective keeps you just behind your craft, adding tension as obstacles and foes swarm. Ten increasingly tough levels test your reflexes with relentless action. Developed by Peter Curtis and released as part of a magazine cover cassette, Omega Zone became a cult favorite for its tight controls and retro intensity. Players remember the challenge of surviving plasma fields while juggling firefights. At its peak, it sold thousands via Crash! magazine, cementing its spot in 80s arcade-inspired gameplay.
