"For us as players, "Once Upon a Puppet" is a bit like the world within the game itself: a play full of adventure, heart, and quirky characters, somewhat predictable and with numerous loving details. It's one that takes place on a low-level stage—it can't (yet) make it onto the big AAA stages, but it will find many fans who will love this special style and explore every corner until they've uncovered every last secret. "Once Upon a Puppet" has many facets and, despite the rather slow pace of the production, is a play that's definitely worth seeing."

Once Upon a Puppet casts you as a puppet navigating a surreal world of twisted fairy tales. Solve physics-based puzzles by manipulating objects while platforming through shifting environments. Each level challenges you to think creatively about gravity and movement as you avoid hazards and unlock paths. The game blends hand-drawn visuals with a whimsical yet eerie tone that deepens as you progress. The art style and tight controls stand out, offering a distinct feel across all major consoles and PC. Puzzles escalate in complexity without overwhelming, balancing experimentation with clear goals. With a runtime of roughly six to eight hours, it’s a concise but satisfying journey for fans of clever, compact design.
