Oni Zero: Fukkatsu is a turn-based RPG set in a mythic Japan where humans and spirits once lived side by side. After their village is razed, three survivors, Shiroumaru, Gedoumaru, and Saki, set out to heal a fractured world. Combat revolves around elemental matchups, character growth, and temporary demon transformations that boost stats. Each fighter can summon spirits for aid, adding layers to strategy. The story unfolds through classic JRPG tropes, with a focus on restoring balance through battles against supernatural foes. The game ties into the broader Pandora Max Series, offering bonus content for owners of other titles. As the final entry in its franchise, it retains a cult following despite its 2001 release. While battles can drag due to its methodical pace, the system rewards careful planning. With ports on PlayStation platforms, it’s a relic of early 2000s RPG design, blending familiar mechanics with folklore-inspired themes.
In the year 924 AD, 3 young kids are going to play in the shrine of the mountains but soon they will discover that something is not going right around there and they will start a dangerous journey to destroy the devils that are trying to destroy the world. The characters can transform themselves into a shape of a demon during a few times in the battles, the battle can be a little slow since is turn based and some enemies takes some turns to be defeated.
