Othello by Philips Interactive Media is a turn-based strategy game where players take turns placing discs to outflank and flip their opponent's pieces. The goal is to end the game with more of your color on the board. The CD-i version adds a strange twist by letting you play against two historical figures who seem out of place in a simple board game. The game's standout is the inclusion of Albert Einstein and Leonardo da Vinci as AI opponents. Neither adds commentary nor lore, making their presence feel like a random joke. Released in late 1993, it's a faithful but basic port of the classic. The Philips CD-i version has no additional features but remains a functional way to play the game.
