Otherside is a cross-platform RPG with MMO elements that lets players explore a large, ever-changing metaverse. You navigate a world of floating islands shaped by five distinct environments, each offering different resources and challenges. Your choices affect the world, and you collect Otherdeeds to unlock special areas and items. The game blends traditional RPG progression with blockchain features, letting you own and trade in-game assets. Since its February 2023 launch, Otherside has gained traction for its focus on player freedom and blockchain-based ownership. The mix of procedurally generated islands and the chance to find rare Kodas encourage exploration. With multiple platforms and ongoing world development, it offers a flexible way to engage with a metaverse that prioritizes user creativity and asset control.

Storyline

The Otherside is part galaxy and part archipelago, with islands extending from the Biogenic Swamp at the center and roiling outwards to the Infinite Expanse. There are five sediments that lands are built upon: Biogenic Swamp, Chemical Goo, Rainbow Atmos, Cosmic Dream, and Infinite Expanse. Your Otherdeed is the key to a unique blend of environment, sediment, and treasures — some with resources, some home to powerful artifacts. And on a very few, a Koda roams.
