Outlaws is a side-scrolling arcade game where you ride a horse through open plains and towns as Lone Rider. You stay mounted the whole time, shooting at bandits and dodging obstacles by jumping or ducking. The horse moves left or right, letting you chase enemies or escape trouble. Fire your handgun from the saddle, but watch for incoming bullets that force quick reflexes. The world switches between open fields and urban areas, each with different threats and layouts. The game stands out for its simple but responsive controls and the constant motion of horseback combat. While the Commodore 64 version is the most notable, the portable action works well on the MAX. Bandits pop up frequently, with occasional Indian attacks adding variety to the threats. Players appreciate the steady pacing and the way the horse feels like an extension of your own moves. No complex story or mechanics, just straight-up shootin’ and runnin’ with a Wild West flair.
