Overgrowth is a martial arts action game where combat takes center stage. Play as Turner using acrobatics, melee strikes, and environmental objects to take down enemies in real time. The campaign follows his journey after toppling a corrupt ruler, with a main story followed by a prequel. Fight alone or team up locally with others for co-op or versus modes. The split screen supports up to four players for direct brawls. The game stands out for its open mod support which let players add new content for nearly a decade. Community creations range from alternate storylines to completely overhauled mechanics. Running on PC Linux and Mac since 2017 it maintains a dedicated player base. The focus on customizable combat and multiplayer keeps matches feeling fresh even years after release.
