You upgrade limited abilities between fights to handle the increasing chaos but the challenge stays punishingly consistent. The game leans into its simple yet challenging formula. With no multiplayer distractions the focus stays on mastering the mechanics. Some players note the boss designs are more inventive than the first entry though the repetitive wave system can wear thin. It runs smoothly on PS5 but the lack of online features limits replay value for some. Short sessions work best here.
