You're manning a fixed machine gun turret in Paratrooper, a 1982 DOS arcade shooter. Your aim is locked to 90 degrees left and right as waves of helicopters drop paratroopers that can form a human ladder to your position. Shoot soldiers or their chutes to stop the climb before they reach the ground. Things escalate when bombers appear, dropping unstoppable explosives you must destroy mid-air for big points. Ammo doesn't run out but your focus will as waves repeat with growing intensity. The tension comes from juggling multiple threats at once. Balancing paratrooper waves with sudden bomber attacks creates a relentless rhythm that tests reflexes.
