"Due to its nature, it is difficult to rate Pattern like you would a traditional video game. It feels like a germ of an idea that has been released to the public in its current form; it's different from what the developer originally intended, but it's fascinating nonetheless. The decision to turn it into a diary makes it an artistic endeavor more than a traditional game with an explicit goal, and its endless nature can have several interpretations, none of which can be considered wrong. Regardless of score, your decision to try Pattern is dependent on whether you enjoy the genre; those who do will find this to be an experience that'll stick with them for some time."

Patterned by BorderLeap is a puzzle game that tasks you with fixing broken repeating designs. Each level gives you a scrambled tile that needs to be adjusted so it loops perfectly without gaps. You click and drag pieces into place rotating them to match edges. The challenge grows as patterns become more complex mixing colors and shapes. It's all about finding the right arrangement that makes the design flow endlessly across the screen. What sets Patterned apart is its clean minimalist look and the satisfaction of solving each puzzle. The lack of time pressure lets you focus on the logic and symmetry. With over 100 levels it offers a steady challenge that's easy to pick up but hard to put down. Available on Mac iOS and visionOS it’s a portable brain teaser that works well for casual sessions. The design focuses on calm thoughtful gameplay without the pressure of time constraints.
