"PEAK is, well, the peak of climbing games. Aggro Crab and Landfall Games' combined talent resulted in an incredibly tactile, aptly challenging and delightfully chaotic puzzle platformer. With lots of colour, whimsy and charm, every pitfall or plummet to your death on the trying climb is just another opportunity for you and your friends to pick yourself up off your feet, and get moving again. It's dangerous to go alone, take this plush alien toy, healing balm and your best pals with you. You won't regret it."

Peak is a frantic online climbing game released by Landfall Games on June 16, 2025 for PC. You play as lost nature scouts stuck on a mysterious island where your only way out involves scaling a massive central mountain. The premise sounds simple but the execution feels punishingly tight. It supports single player, multiplayer, and co-op modes so you can tackle the vertical chaos alone or with friends. Critics gave it strong scores like 83 on OpenCritic with perfect recommendation rates. The game is surprisingly affordable right now at just $0.70 on Green Man Gaming after a deep discount. It delivers pure adrenaline without any fluff or complex story beats to slow you down.
You control your character while climbing rocky terrain that demands precise timing and stamina management. Every move counts because the slightest mistake sends you tumbling back to lower platforms or straight into death. Sessions feel like short bursts of intense effort where you constantly watch your energy bar drain before reaching new heights. The map resets every twenty-four hours which keeps the routes fresh for everyone playing. You can tackle this alone or coordinate with teammates to solve environmental puzzles and reach higher ground faster. Controls are tight and responsive but unforgiving when you lose traction on a slippery ledge. Expect to spend most of your time planning your next few seconds rather than wandering aimlessly through open spaces.
Critics love Peak with 100 percent recommending it on OpenCritic and an average score of 83 out of 100. PC Gamer praised the creative collaboration while Screen Hype noted how quickly the game pushes players to their limits in the starting area. Players have earned 54 achievements but only unlock about 20.8 percent on average which shows how hard the content is. The rarest badge called Applied Esoterica Badge sits at a meager 1.80 percent completion rate proving some parts are nearly impossible for most people. Average playtime remains modest since each run feels like a sprint rather than a marathon. The mood stays focused and intense as groups work together to beat the mountain before their stamina runs out completely.
Peak works best if you want a quick, challenging co-op session without long story cutscenes. The current price of $0.70 makes it an absolute steal for the amount of tension it delivers. You will struggle with the 1.8 percent achievement unless you have a dedicated team and good coordination. This is not a game for casual relaxation since failure feels immediate and costly. Try it if you enjoy games that test your reflexes under pressure and value replayability over narrative depth. The map reset mechanic ensures no two climbing attempts feel exactly the same even after hundreds of tries.

your heart is in the right place and i applaud that, but this is 3 levels deep into anxiety thinking that isnt helpful to yourself or anyone. PEAK devs probably know about this, but choose not to care, because they can use their profits from the game to support trans people in their own way

Last repost: I haven't played PEAK at all but immense respect to the devs on that one dude. A multiplayer game shouldn't need constant updates and support from the devs to be playable and fun, I wish this became the standard again.
