Perfect Teams is a rogue-like deckbuilder where you build a trio of characters, each with their own card set and abilities, to navigate shifting worlds. Progress through procedurally generated maps by making tactical choices, help NPCs, challenge bosses, or forge your own path. Combat hinges on combining character-specific decks, with each win unlocking new cards and upgrades. The game’s branching narrative lets you shape the story through dialogue and decisions, balancing exploration and direct conflict. The game stands out for its hybrid setting, blending medieval fantasy with sci-fi elements across varied biomes. Characters have distinct traits that influence team dynamics, encouraging experimentation with builds. With a focus on strategic deck customization and nonlinear storytelling, it aims to offer replayability through randomized content. Launching October 18, 2024, it’s a PC and Mac exclusive from Lys Games.

Storyline

Assemble your team and write your story! Help the innkeeper or go your own way to directly defeat a huge troll or face a princess who is not so charming. Perfect Teams mixes several styles between medieval fantasy and futuristic world, discover different biomes with incredible stories in the course of your journey. Thanks to the deck concept, your characters evolve over time. Your victories will allow you to unlock cards and improve your team. The characters in the game all have their own distinct and original personalities. The choice of your team will be eclectic and each person brings a lot to the other. The role-playing aspect of the game will allow you to make good and bad choices. You are therefore in control of your story according to what you want to do! Will you pass your way in front of bandits in a forest? Be brave and face the evil with your perfect team!
