You play Plutus, the least impressive member of a struggling superhero team tasked with stopping the villain Zarg. Your main tool is a power called Brainstorm, which lets you solve puzzles and manipulate objects to fight enemies like shape-shifting foes and eight-legged creeps. The game blends platforming with puzzle-solving as you jump, think, and occasionally panic through increasingly absurd challenges. Phantom Club dates back to 1987 and runs on PC and retro systems like the ZX Spectrum. While its graphics and design feel very much of their era, the game’s relentless energy and quirky humor have earned it a niche reputation among classic adventure fans.
