Phozon is a puzzle arcade game where you control a tiny atom called the Chemic. Your goal is to attach colored Moleks to the Chemic in the order shown at the screen’s center. Moleks come in four colors and must stick in the right sequence. If a Molek doesn’t fit, you hit a reject button to discard it. As you build patterns, you must avoid the Atomic, a erratic enemy that shatters your progress on contact. The Atomic splits and reforms to maximize chaos, making timing crucial. The game’s structure leans on escalating stakes. Each of its eighteen stages demands precise pattern duplication, with every fourth level turning combat-focused. Here you can launch yellow Moleks at the Atomic, adding a layer of direct confrontation. Power Moleks introduced in later stages let you spin attached Moleks for defense, though they fade over time. The Atomic’s unrelenting aggression and the need to balance creation with survival make Phozon a tense, methodical challenge. Its dated 1983 roots show, but the core loop of matching patterns under pressure holds up, especially in shorter sessions.
