Pileup is a tense arcade game where you control a green square trying to climb upward by swapping out gray blocks beneath it. Your goal is to stop the green square from reaching the top of the screen, as that ends the game. To do this you must avoid pink rectangles that rain down from above destroying everything they hit. Each falling block adds pressure as you dodge to stay alive and collect points. Controls are simple but the challenge ramps quickly requiring quick reflexes and spatial awareness. What makes Pileup stand out is its stripped-down yet addictive gameplay loop. The core mechanic of avoiding destruction while managing the rising structure creates constant tension. With no complex systems or story to complicate things the focus stays purely on your ability to react. Early tests show players often get sucked into trying to beat their high scores as the difficulty escalates. The PS4/PS5 port runs smoothly with responsive controls making it easy to jump into short sessions or grind for longer.
