Pilot Kids is a whimsical horizontal shooter where you control a pint sized pilot zipping through the sky. You blast waves of enemies with basic but satisfying gunplay while dodging attacks. The simple controls and fast pacing make it easy to jump into but challenging to master. Boss fights stand out with over the top designs like a snarling attack dog that feels almost comically oversized for a kids game. The biggest draw is its charming visual style. Bright colors and exaggerated expressions give everything a cartoonish vibe that softens the violent action. Despite its age it feels unusually polished for an arcade title with tight mechanics and consistent difficulty. While it never became a classic it carved out a cult following among fans of quirky 90s shooters. Shorter than most run of the mill arcade games but packed with personality.
