Pinball Breaker V merges the brick-smashing fun of breakout with the flippy physics of pinball. You control a set of flippers to launch a ball upward bouncing it to shatter rows of blocks. Each of the 15 levels ramps up the difficulty with new layouts and tricky obstacles. Precision aiming and quick reflexes are key to climbing the leaderboards. The 3DS version brings this hybrid gameplay to a handheld format without cutting corners. The tactile flipper controls feel responsive despite the system's age. While the 15-level campaign is short the high score chasing adds lasting replay value. A niche but solid pick for fans of classic arcade hybrids.
