Pinball Wizard is a single-player pinball game built around a single table packed with action. You control two flippers at the bottom, aiming to bounce the ball past four bumpers on each side and through gaps in a row of scoreless bumpers. Hitting these gaps lights up letters that spell "Sagittarian," turning them into bonus targets. The table tracks an accumulating bonus that grows by 50 points each time you hit key spots. Sticky bonuses add another layer, with a special "hi" target that raises the value of all bumpers when hit repeatedly. The game’s standout feature is its layered scoring system, which blends simple reflexes with strategic planning. While the design feels straightforward, the bonus mechanics encourage replays to maximize points. Released in 1983, it runs on Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC.
