Pirates of Black Cove: Sink 'Em All is a fast paced top down shooter where you command a ship through chaotic naval battles. Fire cannons at enemy vessels while deploying over the top weapons like explosive barrels, fire projectiles, and yes even gas based ordnance. Progress through 12 chapters with distinct environments from stormy straits to treasure laden harbors. Each stage throws waves of ships and brute sized bosses at you demanding quick reflexes and smart positioning. The game leans into its goofy tone with weapon names that prioritize humor over subtlety. Players highlight the steady difficulty curve and variety of ship types to upgrade. With 70+ levels and optional challenges hidden in each map it holds up longer than most 2012 arcade releases. The PC version remains playable despite its age though newer shooters have since raised the bar for similar gameplay loops.
