Pixel Boy and the Ever Expanding Dungeon is a side-scrolling action game where you battle through procedurally generated levels filled with enemies and traps. Each of the four acts throws new layouts your way, leading to a final boss fight that tests your skills and gear. You collect materials to forge armor and mix power ups, creating weapons with thousands of possible builds. Combat mixes shooting and melee attacks, letting you clear paths through waves of foes while managing limited resources. The sheer variety of weapon combinations keeps things fresh. With over 6000 unique tools to craft, every run feels distinct. Bosses require more than just firepower, they demand strategy, timing, and adapting your loadout mid fight. The retro pixel art and tight controls make it easy to power through sessions, but the depth in customization and challenge will stick around longer. Linux and Mac players get solid support alongside Windows, which is a nice touch.
