Planet Protector VR is a fast paced virtual reality shooter where you use motion controls to fend off alien attacks. You stand in a cityscape firing at wave after wave of incoming enemies trying to tear the planet apart. Each mission throws new shapes and sizes at you requiring quick reflexes and accurate aiming. The controls are straightforward but the difficulty ramps up rapidly as you progress through different scenarios. This indie title has held up well since its 2020 release with a dedicated fanbase on SteamVR and Android platforms. The simple premise works best in short bursts making it a solid pick for casual VR sessions. While the visuals are basic the kinetic action feels satisfyingly responsive. Available on multiple systems including Daydream it offers a no frills but effective VR combat experience.
