Platform War is a strategic shooter that layers turn-based combat over platform-based battles. You command a roster of seven distinct units each armed with specialized weapons. Movement and attacks happen in alternating turns across 15 vertical stages where positioning determines success. Each stage is a vertical battlefield requiring careful planning to exploit height advantages or avoid falling. The progression system keeps things fresh as earned experience unlocks promotions which in turn grant access to new armaments.
